These activities are designed for our fire fighters in training-school aged kids
Practice 9-1-1
Ever want to teach your children how to dial 9-1-1 through a hands-on experience? Our practice 9-1-1 stations give kids the chance to talk to a real dispatcher and find out what really happens during a 9-1-1 call.
Trike Trail and Helmet Fit
Learn about helmet safety by riding a tricycle through a course with traffic signals and safety tips. Make sure your child's helmet fits correctly.
Teddy Bear Clinic
Kids learn basic first aid with teddy bears. Paramedics, fire fighters and nurses will help teach children how to make all sorts of boo-boos and owwies feel better!
Safe Escape
The life safety trailer gives children of all ages the opportunity to crawl low out of a smoke filled room and exit the building via a ladder.
Bunker Gear Relay
Kids wear fire fighter gear and run like crazy while learning how to Stop, Drop and Roll! This one makes for amazing photos and lots of laughs.
Big Rig Tour
Check out West Metro's fleet of emergency trucks! Children can hop in and see the view from the fire fighter's seat.
Hose Spray
Using a wildland hose, children aim at a flame/target and "put out the fire." Careful, with this activity, you're likely to get wet!
