These activities are for our littlest fire fighters--preschoolers and toddlers
Crawl Low Under Smoke
Children learn how and when to crawl low under smoke. Strips of black sheets are used to simulate "pretend" smoke. Children "crawl low and go" two to four at a time under the sheets, racing to see who can get out of the smoke first.
Trike Trail
Learn about helmet safety by riding a tricycle through a course with traffic signals and safety tips. Make sure your child's helmet fits correctly.
Big Rig Tour
Check out West Metro's fleet of emergency trucks! Children can hop in and see the view from the fire fighter's seat.
Bunker Gear Relay
Kids wear fire fighter gear and run like crazy while learning how to Stop, Drop and Roll! This one makes for amazing photos and lots of laughs.
Life Safety Sing-Along
Children learn basic fire and life safety messages by singing songs along with the Fire and LIfe Safety Singers. Join in the fun by singing and dancing along!
Safe Water Rescue
Children will learn about water safety as they attempt to rescue a drowning rubber duck from a wading pool.
Hose Spray
Using a wildland hose, children aim at a flame/target and "put out the fire." Careful, with this activity, you're likely to get wet!
