West Metro Fire Rescue has closed the district’s administrative offices to the public. The closure is being implemented as the number of presumptive cases of COVID-19 is rising in Colorado and within West Metro’s district.
The decision to close the offices is aimed at preventing further spread of the virus within our community, protecting the people we serve and our first responders, including the dispatchers and staff with JeffCom. The dispatch center is headquartered in our building and is a regional communications center; handling emergency calls for eight police and fire agencies.
While the offices are closed, people who have business with the district can do so by making an appointment and following the screening procedure prior to entering the building. Please call (303) 989-4307 to make an appointment.
West Metro has also suspended all district-related activities, including fire station visits, apparatus visits, car seat fittings, and public outreach. We understand the impact these actions may have on the community and we are continually monitoring the situation, adjusting business practices and emergency operations as necessary in order to maintain the highest possible level of service.
