Don Lombardi, Fire Chief

     Fire Chief Don Lombardi has served more than 25 years with West Metro Fire Rescue, leading Colorado's largest fire district and largest fire-based EMS provider. West Metro covers more than 110 square miles, protecting more than 250,000 residents.
     As Chief, Lombardi is responsible for all facets of life safety, fire suppression and mitigation and emergency medical response in the district. The Chief is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program with the National Fire Academy.   
     Chief Lombardi is the sponsoring agency chief for Colorado Task Force 1 (CO-TF1) FEMA Urban Search and Rescue and is the representative for the Central Division sponsoring agency chiefs. He is the Vice President of the Colorado State Fire Chief's Association. He is on the board of the Colorado Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
     Lombardi is also a member of the Benevolent Fraternal Order of Elks and a graduate of Leadership Jefferson County.

Scott Rogers, Deputy Chief of Operations

     Scott Rogers has been Deputy Chief of Operations for West Metro Fire Rescue since November of 2011. He is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the district, including the district budget, uniformed personnel and equipment. 
     He directly supervises nine District Chiefs and oversees all special teams, handling the day to day operations of the district.
     He is one of only three fourth-generation firefighters in the state of Colorado. He started his career as a private ambulance paramedic in Golden in 1986 and then was a firefighter/paramedic for Cunningham Fire District from 1989 to 1991. 
Mark Krapf, Deputy Chief of Administration

     Mark Krapf is the Deputy Chief of Administration for West Metro Fire Rescue. He oversees Human Resources, Information Technology, Fleet Services and Communications Division directors and division chiefs. 
     He began his fire service in 1982 as a firefighter/paramedic with the Peotone Fire Protection District in Peotone, Illinois. In 1987, Mark became a member of the Lakewood Fire Department and then West Metro Fire Rescue as Lakewood consolidated with the Bancroft Fire Protection District.
     Chief Krapf has a Bachelor's in Fire Service Management. 

Bruce Kral, Deputy Chief of Life Safety/Fire Marshal

     Bruce Kral is the Deputy Chief of Life Safety and Fire Marshal for West Metro Fire Rescue. In this position, he oversees the enforcement of the International Fire Code, the plan review process for all new construction projects in the fire district and the investigation into all fire-related incidents. 
     Deputy Chief Kral has been with West Metro since 1985.
     He was a founding member of the Colorado Homeland Security North Central Region Board and the Denver Urban Area Security Initiative. 
      Kral has an associate's degree in Fire Science, a bachelor's degree in Fire Administration and is a Colorado state certified paramedic. 
     He is a member of the Fire Marshal's Association of Colorado, the Colorado State Fire Protection Association and the National Fire Protection Association.
